The Big Sound believes that music is a tool for social change. Music is passion first, refinement second. The joyful expression of music is the energy that fuels the process for positive social transformation in the individual and the wider community.

Our after school music program is designed to engage children in being agents of positive change, through music and community. The past few years have been challenging beyond measure, for everyone. There is no way to move through the current barriers we face as a community, without coming together and building our skills. The Big Sound believes that through our after school music program, children can and will have a positive impact in our Grey Bruce community.

Consider what it could mean for more children in Grey Bruce to participate in something that, as Jose Antonio Abreu asserts, “transmits our society’s highest values- solidarity, harmony, and mutual compassion”.
